Sweet Treats

Irmgard's Apple Pie, With or Without Flourish

A taste bud delight with a crust best be described as a shortbread or cookie crust, filled with sliced apples, covered with a crumble topping. Served warm with a caramel drizzle and a dollops of whipped cream. Or, if you're feeling reckless, choose a scoop of ice cream or our cinnamon apples.

Betty's Banana PBJ Cake

When she left home, Betty took her mom's banana cake recipe. Then she improvised. The cake is sandwiched between a creamy peanut butter and cream cheese filling and chocolate/cream cheese frosting. Some seedless raspberry jam is applied to the chocolate layer.

Blueberry Cream Pie

Made from scratch all the way. Fresh blueberries baked in a sour cream filling, topped with a crumble that includes walnuts. Not too sweet - you can really taste the blueberries!

We have it on a pretty regular basis as long as blueberries are in season.

Irmgard's Chocolate Mousse Torte

Seven layers of pure ecstasy, including Austrian rum, raspberry cream, chocolate cake, coffee mousse, and marzipan. It would be enough to end there, but Irmgard continues by decorating with chocolate morsels and mocha beans. So divine you’ll lose control!

Sugar Free Orange Julius

A customer suggested the name. The base is a mixture of sugar free orange gelatin, orange juice, crushed pineapple in its own juice, and sugar free mandarin oranges. Topping is a mixture of cream cheese and sugar free whipped topping.

Momma's Quadruple Chocolate Cake

Chocolate Cake with Chocolate Pudding, Chocolate Chips, & Chocolate Icing!!

It's perfect by itself, we like it heated for just a few seconds...makes the chocolate chips inside & the icing all melty.

Hummingbird Cake

If you don't eat the cream cheese icing, this is a low fat cake. A moist and hearty cake utilizing 5 bananas, crushed pineapple and applesauce. Only 3 tablespoons of oil in the batter. We won't discuss the icing....

Weekly Surprises

What exactly is that? Well, currently it could be a cheesecake or new mousse by Irmgard, or a coconut/orange cake or Church Social by Betty. Church Social desserts are the sort of thing you would bring to a pot luck dinner....you know...usually prepared in a 13x9 pan or trifle bowl.

We've recently added a weekly bar or brownie of some sort.
